Arlington Lamar gained plenty of yards against Duncanville, but
couldn’t cash in the yardage for points in the second half. The Vikings lost 23-12 to the Panthers at Cravens Field on
Lamar’s homecoming night. The Vikings outgained the Panthers in total
offense 300 yards to 154, but turned the ball over three times,
compared to Duncanville’s one. After trailing 23-7 halftime, Lamar
reached first and goal three times in the second half, but came away
with no points.

Before this season, as far as on-field accomplishments, Lamar High School graduate Mike Williamson had little in common with the Southeast Missouri State Redhawks' other three captains. He had never caught a pass while seeing virtually no action.
