After many years of maintaining a message board on this site, we are moving in a new direction. The advent and ease of use of Lamar football pages on Facebook and Twitter make maintaining a message board unnecessary, so it has been discontinued. We believe all Viking fans will enjoy interacting through these two very exciting communication channels. Thank you for your continued patronage of the official Lamar Vikings football website. |

If the Vikings hope to end a four-year playoff drought they’ll have to get improvement from their defense, which is led by free safety Cliff Nyagesiba, who totaled 152 tackles in 2008. Six starters return defensively and four are back on offense. For the Star-Telegram's full preview, visit http://tinyurl.com/fwstpre. |
