THE SERIES: Lamar leads the series, 28-9, and has won eight of the nine games played at Wilemon Field.
LAST WEEK: The Vikings continued to struggle, losing to Prosper, 35-7, which sent the Vikings to 0-4 for the first time since 1984. Bowie opened district play by absorbing a 46-28 loss to South Grand Prairie.
THE GAMES THAT COUNT: Lamar has won six of its last 10 District openers, despite losing their last two.
