Viking Head Logo
The Viking head logo was designed by Lamar student Robert Sullins, class of 1972, in Mrs. Midgett’s art class. It can be seen on the football helmet, on the basketball court, and all over the campus at Lamar High. Although it has gone through a few changes over the years, the unique design has remained mostly the same since the early 70s with the letters “LHS” written inside the Viking head. There are actually two variations of the logo, depending on the usage, with the “LHS” letters oriented left-to-right.
